Job seekers in Baldwin County will have the opportunity to sharpen their interview skills, gain valuable career advice, and get referred to local employers at an open interview event hosted by the South Baldwin Literacy Council. The event will take place on Thursday, August 14th, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at 21441 US-98, Foley, AL 36535.
This community-focused initiative is designed to help individuals at any stage of their job search feel more confident and prepared when pursuing employment opportunities. The event will be led by Emily Smith with Long’s Human Resources.
Attendees will have the chance to participate in mock interviews, receive one-on-one feedback, and discuss strategies for standing out in today’s competitive job market. In addition to the training, job seekers have the opportunity to be referred directly to local companies that are currently hiring.
“This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to get back into the workforce, change careers, or simply brush up on their interviewing skills,” said Wendy Johnson with the South Baldwin Literacy Council. “We’re proud to partner with the Gateway Initiative and Stephen to bring this kind of practical, hands-on support to our community.”
No appointment is necessary, and all services provided during the event are free of charge. Participants are encouraged to bring multiple copies of their resume and dress as they would for a real job interview.
