Gateway Lunch & Learn Highlights Commute with Enterprise Ridesharing Program

ree

The Gateway Workforce Initiative hosted a successful Lunch & Learn on April 2 at Magnolia Hall, highlighting the benefits of the Commute with Enterprise ridesharing program.

With attendees representing local employers, community leaders, non-for-Profits, and workforce professionals, the event focused on how ridesharing can lower commuting costs, improve employee retention, and expand access to reliable transportation—especially with summer traffic just around the corner.

Attendees learned how Commute with Enterprise works, how to launch a vanpool program, and the positive impact this initiative can have on both businesses and employees.

Postmates does a pretty detailed background check — more than I expected when I first signed up. They looked at my driving record, criminal history, and I think even ran an identity check. I had a minor traffic ticket from a couple years back that didn’t cause issues, but I’ve heard from others that stuff like DUIs, theft, or violent offenses can definitely get you disqualified. It's stressful not knowing what might pop up, especially if something shows up by mistake. I found this article super helpful in breaking it all down: https://consumerattorneys.com/article/what-does-postmates-look-for-in-a-background-check. Worth a read if you're in the process or got denied and don’t understand why.
