Accelerate Your Business

Entrepreneurship | the process of designing, launching, and running a new business; an entrepreneur is an entity which that has the ability to find and act upon opportunities to translate inventions or technologies into products and services.

A major objective of the Gateway Initiative is to develop a program that will assist people of all ages who have a dream of owning or growing their own businesses to develop their ideas and actually launch their new endeavors. Take a peek below at how we’re involved in our local entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Business Consulting & Continuous Improvement

The Gateway team routinely works with start-up businesses on business plans including feasibility studies, market analysis, environmental and competitive analysis, and proforma financial planning.  For existing businesses there is a comprehensive menu of business solutions starting with a comprehensive business assessment leading to financial, marketing, human resources and other types of business planning.

Gateway has a broad network of subject matter experts in a variety of industries. If we don’t have the experience, we can connect you with the right people to guide your new venture! If you’re looking to start, build, or grow your business, call us: we’ll link you to the right partner! Informally, the Gateway team has provided coaching and mentoring services to small, local businesses across the county. We also have big long termlong-term goals - Gateway aims to develop an incubator program and eventually a brick and mortarbrick-and-mortar operation in South Baldwin county. Stay tuned and let us know if you'd like to be involved as we help build better businesses in our region. Meanwhile, check out these resources:

Business Acceleration

If you’re already in business, but see room for improvement or aren’t quite sure how to take it to the next level, we can help with that (or can refer you to the right folks!).

Our team has designed a formal process and program to learn about your operation and recommend strategies for growth. Learn more about our services here and contact Our Team to find out exactly how we can help you.

Grant Opportunities for Investor Organizations

Most notably we access dollars through the state’s Incumbent Employee Training  Program (IETP) and the Alabama Workforce Stabilization Grant programs.  We have been successful in using these dollars to provide world-class continuous improvement courses through the Auburn Technical Assistance Center (ATAC) at no cost to our businesses.  As an added value ATAC will customize your training program specific to your business needs.
